Volunteers are an important part of the LUAG Family
The Main Gallery reception desk, exhibition spaces and museum shop located at the Zoellner Arts Center are staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers. These attendants greet visitors, take attendance, monitor activity and answer routine questions about the exhibitions and the arts center. The gallery also hosts lectures and other events in conjunction with current exhibitions. Area schools and organizations utilize the educational resources available through the LUAG’s outreach programs.
Volunteers are also needed to work behind-the-scenes within the collection to assist with research, documentation and storage. Several volunteers are trained as docents for specialized museum tours. Exhibition preparation opportunities exist as well. We rely on the expertise and talents of our volunteers. Perhaps you can imagine additional ways to be of assistance?
As an added benefit, volunteers are invited to attend a gallery talk or training program for each new exhibition, conducted by the director, guest curator or artist.
We look forward to hearing from you!
