The gallery reception desk, exhibition spaces and museum shop of the Zoellner Arts Center are staffed by a dedicated group of volunteers. These attendants greet visitors, take attendance, monitor activity and answer routine questions about the exhibitions and the arts center. Volunteers are invited to attend a gallery talk or training program for each new exhibition, conducted by the director, guest curator or artist. Several volunteers are trained as docents for specialized museum tours. The gallery hosts lectures and children’s workshops in conjunction with current exhibitions. Area schools and organizations utilize the educational resources available through the center’s outreach programs.  Behind-the-scenes opportunities are also available for those interested in helping with exhibition preparation, or working with the Permanent Collection.
